Privacy Policy — Logic Puzzles Max

Last updated: 24 September 2026

The short version

Your puzzle progress is saved on your device. The app also gives you an anonymous player account — no name, email address or password — so that your progress can be backed up and restored on a new phone. You can delete it, and everything kept with it, at any time.

The app is free and shows ads from Google AdMob. AdMob uses your device's advertising ID and some information about your device to choose and measure ads. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland, the app asks for your consent first, and you can change your answer at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.

The app also sends anonymous usage statistics and crash reports through Google Firebase, so that we can see which puzzles people find too hard and fix problems. None of it includes your name, email address or anything you type.

Premium, the optional one-time purchase, is paid for through Google Play. We never see your payment details.

What the app stores on your device

So that the game works, the app saves the following locally, on your device:

  • The puzzle you are part-way through, for each game and each mode.
  • Your position on each game's difficulty ladder, your Daily streak and your record of finished puzzles.
  • How many hints you have, whether you own Premium, and when the app was first opened and last showed an ad (so that ads follow the limits described below).
  • Your settings.

This is held in the app's own private storage, where other apps cannot read it. If your phone backs up apps to your Google account, Android may include it in that backup. Deleting the app deletes it from the device.

Your player account and cloud backup

The first time the app starts, it creates an anonymous account for you. It keeps, in Google Firebase (Firebase Authentication and Cloud Firestore):

  • an anonymous account id, made up by Firebase — it is the "player id" shown in Settings → Your data;
  • your Google Play Games display name, if you sign in to Play Games (signing in links the same account; it does not create a second one);
  • your gameplay progress and statistics: your Journey level, puzzles solved, Daily streaks, and for each game the puzzles solved, hints used, mistakes and times;
  • whether you own Premium;
  • the app version you are using, and when the app was last used.

If you sign in to Play Games, it also keeps a cloud backup of your progress, so that it can be restored when you sign in on a new phone. Players who do not sign in have no cloud backup.

We use this to back up your progress, to restore it on a new phone, to help you if you contact us, and to understand how the app is used. It does not include your email address, contacts or anything you type, and it is not used for advertising.

It is kept until you delete it, or for 425 days after you last use the app, whichever comes first.

Deleting your data. In the app, go to Settings → Your data → Delete my data. That deletes your account, your cloud backup and your profile data straight away. If you no longer have the app, send a request from our Deleting your data page with the player id from the app, or write to us at the address below; we delete it within 30 days. Progress saved on your phone stays there until you uninstall the app or clear its data.

Advertising

The app uses Google AdMob to show two kinds of ad:

  • Videos you choose to watch, for more hints or to skip a puzzle.
  • Full-screen ads between puzzles, never while you are playing one. They are not shown on the day you install the app, not before you have finished five puzzles, and not more often than once every two minutes.

When it serves ads, Google may collect and process:

  • your device's advertising ID;
  • your IP address and approximate location derived from it;
  • device and app information, such as model, operating system and language;
  • how you interact with ads.

Google uses this under its own policies, including to show personalised ads where you have allowed it. See How Google uses information from apps that use its services and the Google Privacy Policy.

Your choices. Where the law requires consent, you are asked before any ad is requested, and you can change your answer in Settings → Ad privacy choices. On any Android device you can also reset or delete your advertising ID in the phone's own settings, under Privacy → Ads.

Buying Premium removes the ads between puzzles.

Usage statistics and crash reports

The app uses Google Firebase Analytics and Firebase Crashlytics. They record:

  • events in the app, such as a puzzle being started, finished, skipped or left, a hint being used, and an ad being watched, with the game, mode and difficulty;
  • a random identifier for this installation of the app;
  • device model, operating system version and app version;
  • for crashes, the technical details of what went wrong.

We use this to understand how the app is played and to fix it. The events we send do not include your name, email address or contacts.

Purchases

Premium is sold through Google Play Billing and its purchase status is managed through RevenueCat. Google handles the payment under its own terms. RevenueCat receives your purchase history and a player identifier so that the app can check the premium entitlement and restore it on another device. We do not receive your payment-card details.

When you use this website

If you submit a data-deletion request on the website, we receive the player id you enter, any contact email or message you choose to add, and the time and status of your request. We use those details only to locate and process the request. The password-protected admin area uses a session cookie to keep an authorised administrator signed in; players do not need an admin account to read these pages or request deletion.

Children

The app is intended for people aged 13 and over and is not directed at children.

Keeping and deleting data

Data stored on your device is removed when you uninstall the app. Google Analytics event-level data follows this project's current retention setting, [analytics retention period]; aggregate reports may remain available separately. Firebase Crashlytics retains crash reports and related identifiers for 90 days before starting removal. Your player account, cloud backup and profile data are kept until you delete them, or for 425 days after you last use the app. "Your player account and cloud backup" above explains deletion. To ask about usage data linked to your installation, contact us below.

Changes to this policy

If what the app collects changes, this policy will be updated before that version is released, and this page will say what changed and when.
